He was a leader. An event organiser and a brave guy. He had big dreams and always worked towards making his dreams come true. He believed in living to the fullest. He always had a passion for sports and fitness. Great cook. Hard to believe he is not among us. There was always something to learn from him. I thank ISA and other friends for the help at the time of need. He will be in our hearts forever.

I will always remember Ravi coming into the ARC building and as he passed the reception desk, he always had a great smile and would always wish me a good morning.
He had such a promising life ahead of him and was taken from us in such a tragic way and too soon. May he now rest in peace.
My condolences extend to his family, co-workers, and friends.

Our deepest condolences to Ravi family / Sandra And Kelwyn D'Souza (Friends)
Me and my husband, came to know Ravi for a very short time. I, Sandra, working in the Jefferson Lab Library, used to check out books to him. Having sons of approximately the same age, being of Indian decent (as we are), and with Ravi having such a friendly nature, we became friends. Soon my whole famiy took to him very easily . We took him under our wing, like parents but didn't really have much opportunity. We had the privilege to meet his sister and her husband as well. I remember at our Christmas party in 2006, he charmed all the ladies with his dancing to Indian rock. He had the Bollywood moves! So it seems, Ravi really had a lot of talents and a love for life. We will miss him.
To his parents and sister, we would like to say: We are very sorry for your loss, but you can assure yourselves, that in his short life (as we know Ravi), he lived happy with every moment he had and was loved by all.
Miss you Ravi / Laxmi Narsamma (Aunty)
I am grieved to learn about his sad and untimely demise. At this moment of sorrow I extend my sincere condolences to my brother & his family and wish eternal peace to the departed soul. Close

I don't think I will ever believe that Ravi (I call him fondly as Ravi Bhaiiii) is no more among us. He is and will be with us forever for his smile, love, and amiability.
For whatever reason such a wonderful soul had to finish his earthly role so early, but he left us with a challenge - a challenge to follow his legacy of hard work, friendliness, altruism, and love. That will be our truest obeisance to the departed soul.
I sincerely hope he is at peace wherever he is now and also extend my sincere condolences to his family. Close

Ravi will be missed at the YMCA / Kim Wood (YMCA friend )
I was stunned to hear of Ravi's passing. He was a member of the Victory Family YMCA and always greeted members and staff with a smile. He always had time to chat and share his love for sports and the outdoors. The YMCA had a co-ed softball team in the summer of 2006 and enjoyed playing the Jefferson Lab team. I remember Ravi's smile and laugh as he carried the softball bat with him to first base (he was confused with the game of Cricket)! He will be greatly missed. My deepest condolences go out to his family and closest friends who are surely grieving the loss of this beautiful, spirited person. Close

It's so hard to believe that you were here couple days ago talking to me and now you're no more. There are a lot of feeling going through my mind while I writing this. I'm sad and angry at the same time. But I know that you are in a much better place and are making room for us to meet you there someday. It's heartbreaking for all the loved ones that you left behind. But I hope and pray that God will give us peace in our hearts. May your soul rest in peace! We love you and we will miss you a lot Close

I just wanted to say that even though my family and I did not know Ravi very well (we have only lived in the area for a little more than a year), he definetly made a positive impact on us. He was always waving hello to our children and a very nice man. He was a great cook too (He made my wife and I dinner one night shortly after we had moved in). I could tell by my interactions with him that he was one of those few individuals who were more pleased by the simple things in life. Rather than getting caught up in minor details, he seemed to have more focus on what is really important. He will be sorely missed on our block. Close

So sad / Donna Messersmith (Camper at Ocracoke )
Although I never met your friend and family member, I am deeply saddened by this terrible tragedy. We were camping at Ocracoke and had been swimming in the very spot where Ravi disappeared. I took photos of happy children and beautiful beach scenery, just before the time when Ravi was swept to sea. (I can share the photos with anyone who might be interested), I'm reminded of the randomness of nature, of the fragile nature of all of our lives.
My deepest condolences are with you all during this very difficult time.
